The Story Behind Dance Amour

It had been 7 months. That was the longest Elizabeth had ever been without dancing since she was 5 years old. Jeff and Elizabeth Brinton had moved to Snowflake earlier that year in June 2015 and at that time, there was nothing in the dance department in town. Elizabeth had just had her 3rd baby and was getting stir crazy.  That’s when the idea crept into her head, “Maybe I could teach a dance class or 2 since there’s no dance here.” She put out an interest form on Facebook and a month later, with 2 little boys and an 8-week-old baby girl, Jeff and Elizabeth opened Dance Amour in a small, 1-studio space, with 100 students. It hasn’t stopped growing since then. We are so grateful for the incredible instructors and students that have joined us along the way.  In the winter of 2018, with the help of some amazing people, Jeff transformed a 100-year old building into our current, beautiful location. The studio has definitely been a labor of love and yet, while the studio has been a sacrifice of time, energy, and sleep, it has been an incredible blessing to share the love of dance with this community. It is a joy to see our students blossom in confidence, performance and skill. Dance Amour is committed to being an uplifting place where dancers and parents alike feel welcomed and valued. Costumes, music and movements are modest and appropriate, and the quality of instruction is the best you will find on the mountain.
