***AUDITIONS HAVE PASSED. IF YOU ARE NEW AND WOULD LIKE TO AUDITION, PLEAS CONTACT THE STUDIO.***
Do you LOVE to dance? Are you hardworking and dedicated? Join our team! Dancers ages 7-17 are invited to audition for the
2021-2022 DA performing team. Team members will have the opportunity to dance in parades, festivals, performances, and service performances as well as the annual recital. More frequent performance opportunities build confidence, teamwork and performance ability!
Performing Team dancers are required to attend ballet, jazz, parade and acro classes in addition to their performance class. Team dancers are encouraged to take hip hop and clogging as well.
Parade-Only is a great option for our dancers (especially those in jr high and high school) who want to perform during the summer and fall but have other school commitments spring semester. These dancers will be required to take their parade team class as well as 1 other technique class at the studio. They will have approximately 4 performances throughout the semester.
The 2021/2022 Performing Team will have several groups divided by age and ability, including a Parade-Only team.
Dancers who make the 2021/2022 dance team and who will be in town in July are invited to perform in the Snowflake Pioneer Day parade on July 24th.
The regular dance season starts Monday, August 9th and runs through Thursday, June 2nd.
Dancers must maintain 90% attendance in all team and 80% attendance in all weekly classes to be able to preform and participate on the team. During the 21/22 season, there are 40 weeks of dance classes. This means that dancers are not allowed to miss more than 4 team classes the entire year. If a dancer misses more than 4, they will be removed from team. Dancers must also commit to each performance. If case of medical injury, we expect team members to still attend and support their team where possible.
